What is a Carnival Band?

Carnival bands are the beating heart of the Eti-Osa Carnival. These competing performance groups each represent a Royal Family of Eti-Osa, bringing their unique history, colors, and energy to the streets. They march in the two spectacular Grand Parades on December 19 and December 25, turning the city into a vibrant display of cultural pride.

Bands compete fiercely on costume design, choreography, crowd energy, and cultural representation. The band that delivers the most captivating performance and best embodies the spirit of Eti-Osa is crowned the prestigious "Carnival Band of the Year" — a title that brings immense honor to their representing Royal House.
